Strongbow is a well kept and tidy example of the popular Westerly Longbow. The interior is light and spacious with plenty of stowage. Would make a lovely family boat, but could be easily sailed short handed with an Easy Reef in-mast furling mainsail system and furling genoa.
Construction Details Construction:
White GRP hull with topsides painted white, thin blue stripe near top and blue boottop. Presently anti-foul red. (The hull has previously been epoxied and coppercoated but was antifouled over by previous owner). Wooden rub rail just below toe rail. White GRP superstructure. Deck white GRP with grey non slip deck paint. Tiller steering (new tiller 2000). Rudder with skeg.
Accommodation Going down the two substantial steps in the companionway you enter the main saloon with a clear path straight ahead to the fore cabin and navigation station facing aft to the right. An inline galley runs along the right hand side of the boat. To the left is L shaped seating area around the table. Ample storage throughout. 4 berths in 2 cabins. Separate heads compartment. Interior linings replaced throughout 2000, all removable woodwork stripped and re-varnished. Whole boat re-upholstered and re-carpeted 2000.
Domestic Equipment Galley modified in 2000 to take good sized fridge, cooker fitted with new burners 2000. Hot and cold pressurised water (system fitted 2000) - hot water heated by engine or immersion heater. Heads with Baby Blake sea toilet, 12v/230v shaver point, shower with pump out. Vetus brass lights throughout (2000). Flavel Vanessa gas cooker/oven/grill.

Volvo 2003 28hp diesel inboard (1999). Single lever morse type. New shaft and three bladed fixed prop in November 1999 when present engine was fitted. Shore power & battery charger.
Rigging Details Sails:
Masthead sloop. Gold anodised mast, boom & spinnaker pole. Stainless steel standng rigging (October 2003). Easyreef roller furling mainsail, Plastimo 910-i furling genoa.
Lewmar chrome 2 speed winches.
